about

Bio:
Grave Rapist and Necrocannibal began writing music for Cannibal Rites in 2004 while both were also members of Your Kid's on Fire and Elders of the Apocalypse. The intention was to create death metal in the ways of old: raw aggression, crushing heaviness, morbid lyrics and vokills. No talent show pseudo-death technicalities, no "hey, all the non-metallers will get into this live if we just throw in some spontaneous crunch riffs" mosh breaks, and no desire to make it sound remotely like any of their other bands...just pure death. After an extended hiatus, Grave Rapist and Necrocannibal are practicing Cannibal Rites again. In March 2009, they recorded a 5-song demo with the songs "Blood Beast," "Undead Horror," "Your Screams Won't Save Your Flesh," "Path of Eternal Sorrow," and "Cannibal Rites." The band will enter the studio in 2012 to professionally re-record the demo tracks for a pro cassette release on NoVisible Scars.
